About Us

In 2015, the Office of Admissions, the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE), and the Office of Financial Aid collaborated to establish the High School Partners Program (HSPP). This program was strategically designed to address the college access and enrollment disparity faced by students who have traditionally been underrepresented in higher education.

Over the past decade, Florida State University (FSU) has witnessed a remarkable surge in first-year applications. However, recognizing the need to bridge the enrollment gap for underrepresented students, HSPP diligently works with select high schools in Duval, Gadsden, Leon, Liberty, and Orange counties in Florida. Through intentional recruitment efforts, heightened visibility, and the reduction of financial barriers, HSPP aims to foster greater access and participation for these deserving students.
